青い鳥を探せ！：ほんままい、岡部志士の２人展

会期：６月１５日（土）〜８月１１日（日）

 

「青い鳥」は、チルチルとミチルが幸せの青い鳥を探して旅に出る物語。思い出の国、夜の御殿、森、幸福の花園、未来の王国・・・、子どもだけでなく大人の心にも通じるファンタジーとして、人間にとって本当の幸せとは何かを問うメーテルリンクの不朽の名作です。今回の展覧会は、三重県の「希望の園」から二人の作家をご紹介致します。ほんままいさんは鳥を描くのが大好きな笑顔が素敵な女性。まいさんの作品に登場する鳥たちは、見たこともないくらいにカラフルで、今にもキャンバスから飛び立ちそうです。でも、その鳥たちは、スタッフのミユちゃんや園長先生に見立てて描いたり、鳥のお友達にウサギを描いたり、皆まいさんの周りに居る人やものを想いながら描いています。岡部志士さんの作品は、ボードやキャンバスに、クレヨンやポスターカラーを塗り着色した面をニードルで削るユニークな制作方法。でも実は、その削りカスこそが本人にとって本当の作品であり、結果として出来た絵画に興味はありません。

二人にとっての大好きな人やものは、普段の生活の中に生きているようです。

あなたにとっての青い鳥。。。もしかしたら、普段は見えないすぐ後ろを飛んでいるのかもしれません。

当ギャラリーの青い鳥は、作品や作家さん、作家さん達のご家族の笑顔。そして私達姉妹を支えくれている皆さまのお気持ちです。

「 Looking for a blue bird ！」

“The Blue Bird” is a story in which Tyltyl and his younger sister Mytyl go on a journey looking for the Blue Bird of Happiness. A country from distant memories, the Palace of the Night, a thick forest, a garden of happiness, the Kingdom of the Future … as this fantasy resonates in the heart of children and grown-ups alike, it is a timeless masterpiece of Maurice Maeterlinck questioning what happiness is all about.

This exhibition introduces two artists from the “Garden of Hope” (Kibo no sono) in Mie prefecture. Mai Honma loves drawing birds which are so colorful, out of this world, and lively as if they are about to fly off the canvas. Those birds are modeled after the director of the Garden of Hope and Miyu-chan, one of the staff members. She also draws her favorite pet rabbit as a friend of these birds. In fact, everything she draws is inspired by the people and things around her. On the other hand, Yukihito Okabe applies crayon and acrylic paint on canvases, and then shaves them off by scratching the surface with a needle. However, he is not interested in these “paintings” at all. These are simply residue of his real art work, the lumps of crayon and paint shavings that he calls “Coroichi”!!

People and things that they love are all in their surroundings. Perhaps, unbeknownst to you, the Blue Bird of Happiness may be flying just behind you. The artists and their works, their families, and people who support our gallery are the Blue Bird of the Happiness. Please come and visit us in one beautiful day of the early summer.
